Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, is an award-winning visitor attraction that has a commitment to high quality farm stock and preserving the continuation of some of the world’s most rare breeds.
Our adoption programme supports at-risk animals like the magnificent Shire horse, helping secure their future for generations to come. Your sponsorship will contribute to the welfare of all our amazing animals on site.
Animal adoption is a unique gift that keeps on giving – perfect for birthdays, special occasions, or simply for animal lovers of all ages.
By adopting with us, you’re supporting the entire herd or group of that animal species, making sure they all thrive, and that there’s always a friendly face to meet when you visit.
Please remember to tell us at checkout which name you’d like on the certificate.
We do several adoption options:
Digital Only
- We had lots of requests from our overseas customers who wanted to adopt an animal – so we’ve listened and added a digital only category.
- Your adoption will last for one year and you will get quarterly email updates about your animals.
- This is a digital only package – no certificates, photographs, farm tickets or printed media will be sent.
- A digital certificate will be delivered via email after purchase. These are sent manually by a member of our team, so please allow 3 working days for this to be processed.
Bronze – For £20:
- Adoption certificate
- Photograph or postcard, signed by our farmers
- 1 pass to visit the farm
- Quarterly email updates about the Highland Cows with video content.
Silver – For £39:
- Adoption certificate
- Photograph or postcard, signed by our farmers
- 4 passes to visit the farm
- Quarterly email updates about the Highland Cows with video content.
Gold – For £59:
- Adoption Certificate
- Photograph or postcard, signed by our farmers
- 4 passes to visit the farm
- A cuddly toy Highland Cow
- Quarterly email updates about the Highland Cows with video content.

Shipping:
Standard UK shipping is £3.95 plus £1.00 for each additional item up to £9.00.
International shipping charges apply. PLEASE NOTE: Any tax and duty payable on deliveries outside the UK will be borne by the receiver. Cannon Hall Farm is unable to provide any indication of how much this will be. It is the responsibility of the recipient to ensure any tax/customs fees are paid in a timely manner. If unpaid, the parcel will be returned to us, and will incur a further postal charge to resend.
Packaging may differ when shipping overseas due to size and weight restrictions. Please note for Bronze, Silver and Gold packages, physical tickets to visit the farm will be shipped with your order. If you wish, we are able to donate your tickets to Barnardo’s Children’s Charity. Please add this in the notes section of your order or contact us directly. (You may wish to do this if you live too far away to visit, for example)
We use a next day service (where possible) to ship your order. If you are not likely to be at your address on the day of delivery, please include a note for the delivery driver when you checkout. This way, your items will be left as instructed. If you do not provide this information and are not around to receive the delivery, it will be reattempted the next working day.
Delivery will be attempted twice before being returned to us. If this happens, you will be contacted for an additional postal charge to resend your parcel.
