New for Christmas 2024 is our brand new small mammal adoption package – with a focus on our amazing Red Squirrels.
Cannon Hall Farm is dedicated to the conservation of red squirrels, a species that has been facing significant challenges due to habitat loss and competition from non-native grey squirrels. Our breeding pair are doing fantastically well in our squirrel walkthrough enclosure and we’ve already welcomed a number of kits (babies) over the last couple of years.
Our Small Mammal House is also home to a number of wonderful animals – some of which we are the only place you’ll find them in the UK. Some of our famous animals reside there – Womble the Long-Eared Hedgehog and Tank & Nessa the Hairy Armadillos live there too!
Your adoptions will help contribute to our conservation efforts.
The gold adoption will come with a red squirrel cuddly toy – read below for more info.

Whoever you choose, remember: by adopting one animal at Cannon Hall Farm, you’re helping them all.
We introduced category adoptions rather than individual animals to make sure this could happen.
We do several adoption options:
Digital Only
- We had lots of requests from our overseas customers who wanted to adopt an animal – so we’ve listened and added a digital only category.
- Your adoption will last for one year and you will get quarterly email updates about your animals.
- This is a digital only package – no certificates, photographs, farm tickets or printed media will be sent.
- Your digital certificate will be delivered via email after purchase. These are sent manually by a member of our team.
Bronze – For £20, in addition to knowing you’re providing a future for our farm, you also get:
- Adoption certificate
- Photograph of your chosen animal, with a personalised note from our farmers
- Guest pass to visit the farm (1 visit)
- Email updates about your animal with video content.
Silver – For £39, in addition to knowing you’re providing a future for our farm, you also get:
- Adoption certificate
- Photograph of your chosen animal, with a personalised note from our farmers
- A family pass to visit the farm (1 visit valid for four people)
- Email updates about your animal with video content.
Gold – For £59, you also get:
- Adoption Certificate
- Photograph of your chosen animal, with a personalised note from our farmers
- A family pass to visit the farm (1 visit valid for four people)
- A cuddly toy
- Email updates about your animal with video content.

Shipping:
Standard UK shipping is £3.95 plus £1.00 for each additional item up to £9.00.
International shipping charges apply. PLEASE NOTE: Any tax and duty payable on deliveries outside the UK will be borne by the receiver. Cannon Hall Farm is unable to provide any indication of how much this will be. It is the responsibility of the recipient to ensure any tax/customs fees are paid in a timely manner. If unpaid, the parcel will be returned to us, and will incur a further postal charge to resend.
Packaging may differ when shipping overseas due to size and weight restrictions. Please note for Bronze, Silver and Gold packages, physical tickets to visit the farm will be shipped with your order. If you wish, we are able to donate your tickets to Barnardo’s Children’s Charity. Please add this in the notes section of your order or contact us directly. (You may wish to do this if you live too far away to visit, for example)
We use a next day service (where possible) to ship your order. If you are not likely to be at your address on the day of delivery, please include a note for the delivery driver when you checkout. This way, your items will be left as instructed. If you do not provide this information and are not around to receive the delivery, it will be reattempted the next working day.
Delivery will be attempted twice before being returned to us. If this happens, you will be contacted for an additional postal charge to resend your parcel.
